Who is Matt Bizer?
My name is Matt Bizer and I am pursuing a life I am passionate for.
At the Age of 23, Matt Bizer has crawled out of 10 kitchens, 2 dish rooms, a 100 year old German bakery, a Swiss coffee shop, 2 alcohol serving movie theaters, hundreds of Overgrown Lawns, 1 medical corporation, 1 web development firm, 1 photographer’s studio, and the shop of a gunsmith since the age of 15. He has called 4 cities, 2 states, and an attic home, dropped out of college twice, maxed out his credit cards… yes, all of them, and has over drafted from his bank account 23 times. Matt has a mattress on the floor, sleeps an average of 4 hours a night, drinks enough coffee to cause the lymph nodes in the back of his head to swell, skips enough meals to keep him comfortably under weight, and at a towering 5′4″ He has been spending every last hour, penny, and ounce of his mother’s nerve on making films.
Matt Started his current production company, Willow Productions, in 2001 in New Braunfels, Texas. He has since become a self taught editor, writer, producer, cinematographer, director, and general life fan of the film making process and today resides in Austin, Texas where he writes and collaborates on a variety of independent film endeavors. Work’s that Matt has contributed to have screened at film festivals around the US and he has received mention and awards for his writing as well. Matt has dedicated his life to a passion and as he told his mother when he received the “Texas youth Entrepreneur of the Year award” when in High school; “I will either succeed or I will live in a box on the street - maybe both. At least I am making movies.”

Equipment: Both PC and MACINTOSH computer platforms, (Super 8 film, 16mm film (arri, eclair, bolex,
panavision) , VHS, 8mm tape, DV, Beta, miniDV, and HD cameras/tape/film), Light metering, I have
knowledge of filters, Lighting kits Ranging from stage to set lighting, and the equipment necessary to the art
of cinematography, Condor operation, Rigging, Cranes, Dolly (fisher and PeeWee), I have Green screen
experience, A deep background in still photography (35mm, 120mm, digital slr) including flash lighting,
power pack usage, and still production, Audio mixers and recording tools, and wood construction tools.
Software: Final cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Premiere, Vegas Video, Pinnacle Studio 8, Ulead Media studio, Acid
music, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Page maker, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Fireworks,
Macromedia Dreamweaver, Ulead cool 3D, DVD Studio Pro, IMovie, IDVD, and various Word processing and
design software.
